My name is Shane Birley and I am a creative guy with a technical background and a literature degree. I am best described as a technologist or a nerd. I also co-authored the second edition of Blogging For Dummies.

In January 2006, I helped to found Left Right Minds a web development and arts management company in Vancouver, British Columbia. We specialize in helping companies and non-profit organizations get noticed on the web. Previously, I worked for many years as a system administrator and computer technician at a variety of companies.

I grew up in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to follow a girl.
